Maplewood Mall Courtyard
From my shopping trip on Black Friday to Maplewood Mall. This is the main courtyard with quite a few of the booth stores to visit or ignore as most do.

I managed to get out and do some shopping during Black Friday. Not something I normally do, but my kids wanted to experience this new shopping tradition. No, I was not one of those standing in line at 4:00 AM. to get the deal of the day. We had breakfast, got a couple things done around the house, THEN we ventured out to one of the smaller local shopping malls.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, every year for as long as I can remember, this 3M building in Maplewood has always displayed this light pattern to resemble a tree for the holidays. It's become a Twin Cities tradition that I look forward to each year. I've always wondered who is responsible for making sure the correct lights are on or off. Perhaps that task falls on the shoulders of who works in the room?

This past spring, I attended a brass quintet concert in the northern part of the Twin Cities. I brought my wife and two kids to see Classic Brass Inc. The word on the street is they are one of the busier brass quintets in the Twin Cities area. Their repertoire is quite varied and they also throw in a money-back guarantee, what a deal!
