Flour Mill Decay

One from the Hastings Flour Mill. You may have to make the photo bigger to see it, but there are three metal stars in the photo. One on the right and two near the roof line. What is the purpose of these stars?

Forgotten

This light post is long forgotten and off the grid in the city of St Paul. It was however one of two light poles that anchored the street car tunnel that lead to Summit Avenue, which is also no longer used in the city.

This wall is very close to the Saint Paul Cathedral. It is down the hill and is part of the remains of a very historic part of the Twin Cities.

Mystery Item

I'm not sure what it is, or what the purpose of the window cover does, but the added graffiti was a nice touch. This rusted cover is found at the Mill City Museum.

Messy Wall

Whenever I see a wall in this condition, it makes me wonder how it became this way over the years. There is so much happening, or has happened to the brick and windows, where does one begin?

Heavy Use

This telephone pole has seen quite a bit of action in it's day. This pole is just down the road from where I live. Now what you may not know about my city is, you are not allowed to post signs to telephone poles. The city ordinance reads your allowed to stake a sign, like a garage sale sign, into the ground. The telephone poles are off limits. So to see this much left over nails and staples on this telephone pole is an eye opener.

Rusty Gate

My question about this rusty tail gate is, why is the left side much more rusted out than the right?

Who Broke The Lamp?

I'm sure there is a story behind the broken lamp, but it sure was an odd thing to see while waiting for the stoplight to turn green.

Old University Avenue

I took this photo a few years ago. I'd forgotten I had taken it actually. Currently, they are building a train right down the middle of the road. I've heard it's a mess and haven't seen it personally. So, finding this photo was a surprise because I wish I had taken one, but here it was in my archives all along.

Neglected

If I were to guess, I believe the sign reads "Freight House". That makes sense right? It's at a train yard, freight is brought in via rail cars, so it make sense the missing part of the sign reads Freight, right?

Not A Pretty Sight

I'm on the hunt for graffiti this month as the October theme day is graffiti. I have this feeling that this electrical box has been the host of graffiti in the past judging by the odd paint job it currently has.
