Let's Play Hockey
The Minnesota Wild start each game by having a guest shout to the crowd, 'Let's Play Hockey!!'. Usually it's a celebrity of hockey, the community, Hollywood, or whoever needs to promote something. Today it was Paul Anderson's turn, and if he looks familiar, he is apparently considered the Wild's #1 fan. He does get on the big screen, in stadium and your television, during the games when the crowd needs to get loud.

Chelsea Handler
Comic Chelsea Handler made a stop in the Twin Cities at the University Of Minnesota campus. She appeared at the Northrup Auditorium on Saturday, April 3, 2010. It was classic Chelsea Handler comedy, very witty, impromptu with the crowd, well thought out ideas, and a bit adult/crude for some ears, but overall a very fun night.

For Those Of You Who Can't Decide
I have to hand it to Ross Bernstein, his book caught my eye the other day. Being from Minnesota, there are people torn with this decision, despite the Vikings record this year and sitting in the playoffs. I can only image those from Packer land who could have an even great rage for the future Hall Of Fame quarterback Brett Favre. If you look closely at the book, it's a flip book. One side is is for the Love of Favre, the other side is for the hatred of Favre. I'm unsure of how the sale of this book is going, but I do own one Ross Bernstein book called 'The Code'. It's about the unwritten rules of hockey.

Rachel Ray
Another celebrity sighting took place in the Twin Cities at the Mall of America in Bloomington in the month of December. I had gone there with with my wife to get her latest book signed, "Just In Time". However when we arrived at 6:00 PM, we were told by Barns & Noble that you needed a wrist band that were handed out at noon. I was a bit discouraged by this, yet when I saw the size of the crowd that had assembled in the center court, I completely understood their method of crowd control. That didn't stop me from getting a few photos of the very popular television star. I was able to capture her entrance into the mall while she was escorted into the building by the security guards. Capturing two other people attempts at her photo, one via cell phone, left me with smiles. The one thing I took away from the evening was listening to the crowd say, "she is shorter in person that I realized".
