Time For A Phone Call

I got a kick out of this boater taking a moment to answer an incoming phone call while out on the water. I got a kick out of this boater taking a moment to answer an incoming phone call while out on Lake Calhoun.

Indiana Harbor

Indiana Harbor leaving port in Duluth. This cargo ship, for sure, was 1000 feet long. I don't recall what it was hauling, but out it goes onto Lake Superior. Indiana Harbor leaving port in Duluth. Kaministiqua

I'm pretty sure this is the 700+ foot cargo ship entering the port in Duluth. It was on it's way to get loaded up at one of the energy companies. I'm pretty sure this is the 700+ foot cargo ship entering the port in Duluth. It was on it's way to get loaded up at one of the energy companies. Watching the ships enter is quite the draw of people. There were several hundred here to see it in action. Most ships arrive empty and leave with a full belly of various material.

Into The Fire

A sailboat crossed directly into the setting sun on Lake Nielson at Tomahawk boy scout camp. I actually had two attempts at this photo. The first one turned out badly as the sail was pointed directly at me during the first pass through the sun. Whomever was out there on the sailboat, did an about face and sailed back across the lake, this time with the sail exactly how I had hoped the shot would turn out.

Covington Inn

Right across from the restaurant is the Covington Inn, which is a floating Bed and Breakfast on the Mississippi River. It's docked up on the river in St Paul within Harriot Island [across from downtown St Paul]. I stumbled across the Covington Inn while looking for an old restaurant from a long time ago. The restaurant had changed names, but was still there and had an expanded menu. Right across from the restaurant is the Covington Inn, which is a floating Bed and Breakfast on the Mississippi River. It's docked up on the river in St Paul within Harriot Island [across from downtown St Paul]. I looked around their website for their rooms and rates. From what I see is they have four different rooms [I couldn't tell if they had four rooms only, or if it was four different themed rooms]. Each suite offered a unique view of the city with the Pilot's Room being the favorite. If anyone who stumbles across this and has stayed there, I would love to hear some feedback from you.
