Semi Flames
Just one of the many strange things I see during my daily travels. A semi truck with flames painted over the tire rims.

Spotted this team bikers group last week while waiting for the stoplight to turn green. The bikers also had to wait their turn to cross Highway 13 in Burnsville.

I saw the rowing team gliding along the Mississippi waters. From this distance, I believe this is a woman's rowing team. Though I'm unsure of any other information about them.

Nighttime Pee Wee football in Cottage Grove is in full swing. My son is playing for the Purple Panthers this year. They are the team on the right side. He was playing in the leftside wide receiver for this game. With the action on the field and the setting sun, I had to set my ISO to a very high level. This of course caused the grainy photo, thus I lost any ability to zoom in with my point and shoot camera. If your monitor is adjusted correctly, it wont be too dark of a photo for you. The red sky made for very decent opportunity for capturing photos this evening.

Sorry, I couldn't resist the cliche title. If you haven't heard of the band, Flock Of Seagulls, the cliche made no sense to you.
Newport is home of the Entertainment Complex, Raceway To Fun. Along Highway 61, this fun factory has go-cart racing, mini golf, a driving range, video game arcade and bumper tubes on water.

Though it has been closed for quite some time now, at least three years. It was known for it's great burgers and rootbeer floats. I believe it was once an A&W Rootbeer stand before it turned into Steve's Newport Drive-In. The drive-in became a casualty of the Highway 61 road construction that eliminated the stop light and nearly all of it's passer by traffic.

I am enjoying the red sky sunsets here at the end of summer. No doubt they are due to the unfortunate California wild fires.

Live from my garage, is the Fantasy Football auction draft headquarters for the league that I run. The evening temperatures were very cooperative and cool this year compared to last years high temps and high humidity. The new edition for this years football draft was the television set to watch the Vikings football game. As you can see, only one is actually watching the game, the rest were intensely debating their next player selection. Good luck to all who play fantasy football this year....well, except for the guys in my league.

I've been debating on posting this capture. It's a tad out of focus, the angle is not how I was expecting it to look. I was rushed so I didn't take the time to look in my LCD screen. Depending on how one looks at it, this can be a side profile of a human head, or just a bunch of bent metal if you look at it from the angle of the photo. It's really an interesting piece of art at several locations. Next time I'll do better, I promise.

Hello all to all of the City Daily Photo viewers from around the world. I'm glad you stopped by on theme day: Big. Big, quite a vague term depending on your size. Big can take on several different meanings to you or I, with the variety of theme interpretations I've seen so far, I'm spot on.
