We Take Parking Seriously

I've always gotten a laugh out of the meter parking enforcement laws in St Paul. I took this photo along Kellogg Avenue in downtown. My car was the only vehicle that was parked along side the road on a Saturday afternoon. Do they really enforce the metered parking on a street that doesn't need to be enforced on a Saturday?

Yep, there are incredible regulations enforced in a quite arbitrary way. I don't know if I should mention this here in the middle of this post :) but Merry Christmas Slinger.

We've got double-yellow lines [= no parking allowed] around us and most people ignore it but about three or four times a year they come round slapping parking fines and those who are copped go balisitic about it - as a non car-owner, with an empty driveway, I smile quietly and say nothing.
