Semi Flames

Just one of the many strange things I see during my daily travels. A semi truck with flames painted over the tire rims.

Big Boat, Little Boat

I saw the rowing team gliding along the Mississippi waters. From this distance, I believe this is a woman's rowing team. Though I'm unsure of any other information about them.

Pee Wee Football

Nighttime Pee Wee football in Cottage Grove is in full swing. My son is playing for the Purple Panthers this year. They are the team on the right side. He was playing in the leftside wide receiver for this game. With the action on the field and the setting sun, I had to set my ISO to a very high level. This of course caused the grainy photo, thus I lost any ability to zoom in with my point and shoot camera. If your monitor is adjusted correctly, it wont be too dark of a photo for you. The red sky made for very decent opportunity for capturing photos this evening.

This small flat maze, is part of the outdoor portion of the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Flock Of Seagulls

Sorry, I couldn't resist the cliche title. If you haven't heard of the band, Flock Of Seagulls, the cliche made no sense to you.

This outstanding action shot was taken in Duluth with Lake Superior in the background. The seagulls coming right at the camera in a frightening way. Almost like a scene from a Hollywood horror film. I cannot take credit for this capture, this contribution belongs to swc. Well done!

Long Lines

Under the Wabasha Street Bridge in St Paul.

Raceway To Fun

Newport is home of the Entertainment Complex, Raceway To Fun. Along Highway 61, this fun factory has go-cart racing, mini golf, a driving range, video game arcade and bumper tubes on water.

Self Portrait

A shadowed self portrait of a local photo blogger So tell me, which one would you guess is me?

The Right Side

Yes, this is the right side of the Freedom Bridge, also called the Wabasha Street Bridge.

The Source

This art piece is named "The Source" and is located in Rice Park of St Paul.

Steve's Newport Drive-In

Though it has been closed for quite some time now, at least three years. It was known for it's great burgers and rootbeer floats. I believe it was once an A&W Rootbeer stand before it turned into Steve's Newport Drive-In. The drive-in became a casualty of the Highway 61 road construction that eliminated the stop light and nearly all of it's passer by traffic.

Night Time Pine

Nighttime falls on this row of pine trees at Pine Glen Park in Cottage Grove

Red, White and Que

From a 4th of July parade in Afton, MN...the slogan on their shirts is rather funny.

Almost Harvest Time

From my personal garden, it's getting close to harvest time.

Red Sky Delight

I am enjoying the red sky sunsets here at the end of summer. No doubt they are due to the unfortunate California wild fires.

Fantasy Football Draft

Live from my garage, is the Fantasy Football draft headquarters for the 12 team league that I run. Live from my garage, is the Fantasy Football auction draft headquarters for the league that I run. The evening temperatures were very cooperative and cool this year compared to last years high temps and high humidity. The new edition for this years football draft was the television set to watch the Vikings football game. As you can see, only one is actually watching the game, the rest were intensely debating their next player selection. Good luck to all who play fantasy football this year....well, except for the guys in my league.

Hanging Art

I've been debating on posting this capture. It's a tad out of focus, the angle is not how I was expecting it to look. I was rushed so I didn't take the time to look in my LCD screen. Depending on how one looks at it, this can be a side profile of a human head, or just a bunch of bent metal if you look at it from the angle of the photo. It's really an interesting piece of art at several locations. Next time I'll do better, I promise.
