Theme Day: Best Photo Of The Year

Monthly theme day photo and for the first day of the new year the theme is my personal favorite photo of the year. The photo I've chosen is a photo I took during the evening hours on one of the coldest days of the year in the Twin Cities. The building is the Landmark Center in Downtown St Paul. The public park I am standing in with all of the lights is called Rice Park.

To view more 'Best Photos Of The Year' from other cities throughout the world, we have compiled them all into thumbnail photos, you can see them all by clicking here.

It is so perfect it almost seems surreal. Excellent choice!

Such a wonderful choice, Slinger. It gives such a warm feeling even though the temp is quite cold.

Cheers for a happy new year! May the world find 2009 a more peaceful, optimistic, blessed and safe year.

The Landmark Center is truly an amazing building. I remember photographing it some years ago in a very biting wind, as St. Paul can have at times. No lovely holiday lights for me, though.

Sorry to be a bit late making my rounds, but do wish you a very Happy New Year! And may sunshine and spring be just around the corner for you Minnesotans!
