So much to look at, so little time

Graffiti Bus On Parade

I am not sure exactly what this bus does in the community, but it sure makes for a great photo. It was sitting at the South Washington County District Center. I really do love the colors on this one.

Music Box

It was empty when I photographed it, but this hand painted newspaper box sits outside the First Avenue night club. It was empty when I photographed it, but this hand painted newspaper box sits outside the First Avenue night club.

They're Everywhere!!

Some of them look homemade, but this electrical box is running out of display real estate.

Contrast

Metal, wood, graffiti, nails....oh my!

Found this on a light pole near downtown St Paul. Kind of a strange one, a US Mail label with Graffiti on it.

Nicely Painted

I wasn't sure if I liked the front of the rear better, so I'm posting both sides of the car. I do however like the painted black bumper, with a screw hold it in place. Plus the nicely painted patter over the rust along the wheel well. I true classic.

Graffiti Template

I can't say that I've ever seen a template used in street graffiti before, until I spotted this one. I can't say that I've ever seen a template used in street graffiti before, until I spotted this one. Strange?

The 9! Was Here

Where are my graffiti interpreters? Are these all identifiers or is there more too what I am seeing? Where are my graffiti interpreters? Are these all identifiers or is there more too what I am seeing?

Bow Ties Are Cool

My kids saw this word graffiti and wanted me to take a photo of it. It's a strange message if you ask me.

Sticker On A Post

I believe it reads 'Infected Mass'. From their MySpace page it was a band from Saint Paul, Minnesota. The band is now defunct, but this sticker remains.

This Is Not An Exit

Graffiti found on the supports of a St Paul bridge. The path to the right, that the 'exit' leads too, is a one hundred foot drop off....so, ummm, no....this is not an exit I'm looking for. The path to the left, I cannot read what it says....so I ain't going there either.

Outdoor Hallway

Above me is the southbound traffic of Highway 61, just ahead is the northbound lanes. If you look closely, you can see a vehicle parked in a lot. The lot leads to a walking path that eventually leads to Battle Creek Park.

Graffiti Or Street Art

I'm conflicted with this one. It's certainly is a painting, it's framed, there is structure to it, it's even signed....and on a wall of a building with a sidewalk, yet I'm tempted to call it graffiti....weird of me eh?

Graffiti Day

I do wish there was a bit of explanation to some of the graffiti I see. I can make out the letters, not sure what they mean exactly, but the heart with an 'F'? in it, the circle with a star and "II" what do those mean or are they just a bit of doodling by the spray paint vandal?

Graffiti Has Returned

More graffiti under the Highway 61 bridge in St Paul. Thank you to everyone who left a comment on my sons photo [see the previous post]. He was overjoyed with the amount of comments left for him. If it helped contribute his liking to photography, then yes, my ploy for comments was well worth it.

I'm back under Highway 61 for this graffiti photo. When I was younger, I always used to draw names very similar to this style of font lettering. Granted, I never once felt the need to spray paint it on a wall, I was happy enough with paper.

Graffiti Under The Bridge

Some local graffiti artist handy work or to the rest of us, a wall that was vandalized by someone with a spray paint can This vandalized wall, I mean, this artistic graffiti can be found in St Paul, under highway 61 at a roadside park which leads into Battle Creek Park. Whomever tagged this wall, had an issue with their black spray paint can. The paint was too thin, or they over sprayed. There are some serious drips with the blank spray paint. See all of the runs now when you look close? This is a terrible job by the vandal who wrote their name on the all. Blah! The white shading effect around the lettering, another terrible job I must say. Very uneven, double sprayed, plus a few places where you went WAY off track of the letter. Perhaps someone finished this for you at a later date? If you're going to vandalize a wall, and then later on have my tax payer dollars clean it up, at least make it look outstanding.
